Cue Of The Week

It’s been a while but It’s back…

After a 7 month much needed hiatus I figured now was the time to bring back this feature.

This week we kick off the month of May with a cue from the 2014 Star Trek Fan Film “Prelude To Axanar” by Alexander Bornstein called “Admiral Ramirez”

This excellent fan film proved that the little guy could make big waves.  Bornstein’s music borrows a little from Star Trek but it is this cue that really puts this score over the top.

“Admiral Ramirez” as the new head of Starfleet makes his first address to the Federation Council.  The strings start with anticipation and build as Garth says that Ramirez brought the people what they needed “Hope” with that pause on the word hope the music continues to build until Ramirez states that “He does not fear the Klingon Empire”.  Bornstein’s music fit the scene perfectly and every time  I watch that scene I get goosebumps.

The soundtrack was released as a promo and eventually became available as a crowdfunding perk.
